Tunis... Jomaa calls for ensuring regular supply of agricultural products at affordable prices

Interim Prime Minister Mehdi Jomaa called for the need to ensure regular supply of agricultural products at affordable prices and step up the control of distribution channels.

Speaking, Tuesday, at a working session held at the seat of the Ministry of Agriculture, the PM stressed the need to ensure the success of development projects carried out in regions by providing on-site follow-up, the Prime Ministry said in a press release issued Tuesday.

He also highlighted the need to be proactive, find operational solutions and "get beyond identifying problems and obstacles."

During the meeting, the interim Prime Minister learnt about the progress of the agricultural seasons and the process of storage of red and white meat and eggs.

He called on officials of the ministries of trade and agriculture to present a timetable and a diagnosis on the situation of these sectors to identify common solutions.
